Our store has been serving the local art community since the early seventies. We are owned and operated by working, professional artists and have become the place where like minded creatives choose to gather, share and inspire.
We are the only art supply store in the greater Auckland area that has a working artists' studio on premises. Our experienced and knowledgeable staff are always happy, willing and able to demonstrate techniques and share tips on the use of various artist materials.

Superior quality, mold-made paper from the Arjomari Mills of France. Made from 100% rag, these 140 lb. blocks provide a convenient assortment of sizes and surfaces that are ideal for field work. Each block contains twenty sheets of natural white paper, and is protected by a black protective sheet under its cover. 300gsm
- Cyanotype Kit$99.95Dyes
This Cyanotype Kit makes sun printing easier than ever and includes everything needed to get started. The chemistry comes pre-measured in lightproof black bottles. Simply fill each bottle with water to create Stock Solutions A & B and mix the two in equal parts to create the cyanotype sensitizer. Coat the included 300g Hahnemuehle Platinum Rag Fine Art Paper with the sensitizer and, once dry, create prints by exposing to sunlight or UV (10-20 minutes, depending on conditions), using objects and the included glass printing frame or a film negative to create an image. After exposure, prints are processed in a tray of cool water and allowed to air dry. The kit comes with enough material to make at least a dozen 8.5" x 11" prints.

Stonehenge Oil is a 100% virgin cotton fiber paper specifically created for oil painting. This receptive new surface for all oil paints has internal and external synthetic sizing and is mould-made, acid-free and archival. Paints will not bleed through to the other side and does not require any prep or gesso. The 140 lb. (320gsm) paper will remain flat and maintain an even textured surface allowing free flowing brush strokes. 560 x 760

Gamblin Cold Wax Medium is a mixture of natural beeswax (wax pastilles), Gamsol Odourless Mineral Spirits and a small amount of alkyd resin. This versatile medium can be added directly to oil colours as a painting medium, used to modify the surface quality of Gamblin Galkyd painting mediums, as well as used alone as a matte varnish.
